Traditionally a part of Native American lore, the dream catcher was said to protect the dreams of an individual and their spiritual being. Grandmother spider would sit in her web, awaiting the dreams. Only the dreams that were good would she let through the net to trickle down the feathers and to the slumbering being who lay below the dream catcher. The bad dreams would then become entangled in her web until the dream catcher was blessed again.
